TURTLE MANIA TAKES OVER 300

Turtle mania took over the box office this weekend as The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles karate chopped the Spartan warriors of 300 with $25 million.

Laurence Fishburne, the narrator of the story relived the nostalgic moments of Turtle mania as his son was obsessed with the fighting four.

“My son who’s in college now was a huge, huge Ninja turtle fan most of his boyhood I would say from the time he was four probably until like eight or nine. So there was Ninja turtle lunch boxes and Ninja turtle pajamas and Ninja turtle sheets and all kind of Ninja turtle stuff. The turtles were fun. They were little green guys. They were cool. They were fun.”

300 was only behind in the box office fight by five million dollars earning $20 million while Shooter starring Mark Wahlberg came in third place with $14.5 million.
