ANGELA BASSETT MEETS THE ROBINSONS

Angela Bassett stars in Meet The Robinsons making her animated feature debut as foster mother Mildred from the future whose job is to find the children in her care the perfect families.

As a new mother of twin boys with husband Courtney B. Vance, the story of an adopted boy in search of his real mother really hit home for her.

“I was so attracted to the story Meet The Robinsons as a brand new mother myself in anticipation of being a mother that is because it takes a little while to do these animated movies as I found out. But the story of a little boy who wants a family, who needs a family; who’s looking, hoping, working hard, praying for a family for that love.”

Angela talks about the artists’ rendition of her character even though she was physically exaggerated.

“It looks like me, a little bottom heavy hips. She’s like a little triangle. But I thought she was endearing, very, very cute with little glasses and her little hairdo. It’s amazing. I’m amazed with what they come up with, how they make you come to life and you never meet the people who are drawing you.”

Next Angela stars as Don Cheadle’s wife in Toussaint, playing the historical man who led a successful slave rebellion in the 18th century.
