THA DOGG POUND IS BACK WITH A NEW ALBUM

After a break up and a ten-plus year break between albums, Tha Dogg Pound is back with their second album in eight months. The group released their new album, Dogg Chit, this week after releasing their reunion set, Cali Iz Active last June. The new album features guest appearances by Snoop Dogg, The Game, Bad Azz, and Too Short and was entirely produced by group member Daz Dillinger. The first single from the project is “Vibe With A Pimp” featuring Snoop Dogg.

Group member Kurupt, who is scheduled to marry female rapper Gail Gotti later this year, shared that the group has put all of their past differences behind them and are just focused on making good music. He said,

“Right now it’s about us and pushing forward and getting this money the proper way. You know there’s a lot of questions a lot of people may have about what about this, how did you feel during thus? To tell you the truth I can’t even really recall any over it man. It’s like a big ol’ blur you know? You know it’s about pushing forward man. That’s what we’re here for. We’re here to push forward. We got over our hump. All organizations have times when they bump their heads. They agree, they don’t agree and the rest of it. And a lot of them don’t survive but we survived and now we’re here for this new millenium push. And this you know, we gonn acome with some good music for people to bang out to.”

Tha Dogg Pound released their double platinum debut, Dogg Food, in 1995.
