BLACK EYED PEAS MEMBER ARRESTED ON DUI CHARGES

The Black Eyed Peas’ Taboo was arrested outside of Los Angeles early Tuesday morning (March 27th), after he was involved in a minor collision on DUI charges. The rapper and dancer was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, and possession of prescription medication without a prescription. He was given several citations and released. He is scheduled to return to court on an unspecified date.

Group member Will.I.Am shared that the group stands by each other during ups and downs. He said,

“The amount of work that we do do it’s hard to not slip. You know we all have slipped but we support each other you know to pick each other back up. Especially in this industry cause you know making money they come at you and all to trying to make money, but ain’t nobody your friends really. Only friends you do have is our group. You know that’s it so we all support each for the ups and downs and what not.”

The Black Eyed Peas are currently working on a new project which they will release in 2008. Group member Fergie is promoting her debut album and she recently signed on to design two new handbag collections for Kipling North America. Group member Will.I.Am will release a new solo project later this summer.
