Miami-based rapper Stacks will release his debut album, Crazee & Confuzed, later this year through a joint venture deal between SoBe Entertainment and Cash Money Records. The first single from the project is “Money Ova Here” featuring Lil Wayne. Crazee & Confuzed, which will be executive produced by Scott Storch, will feature production from Swizz Beatz, Steve Morales, and Storch. |
Stacks’ story is a little different as he grew up with only the best in life. His father. Cecil Barker, sold his aerospace business in Maryland and relocated his family to Miami with his newly found riches. Barker used some of his earnings to fund the SoBe Entertainment label and his son Stacks serves as CEO. The label’s roster also includes Brooke Hogan and Urban Mystic. |
“I’ve been in Miami hip hop for a minute. I know a lot of Miami hip hop artist. I’ve thrown down with them and I respect them. A lot of Miami deejays don’t respect me. All of sudden now that you get a hit song, they start to respect you like, ‘Whoa I didn’t think you can do that.’ So you know it is what it is. I love Miami because I know the type of artist that are out there they’re like me, they have a story. They just don’t have the ability like I have. You know but I worked the ability to get the kind of people I have. Like people don’t understand like yes there’s the money but there was also me grinding on the street.” |
