CHUCK D OKAY WITH FLAVOR FLAV
Public Enemy’s Chuck D talks about the reality show success of Flavor Flav and why he wants to keep him out front. |
Flavor Flav has become a bonafide reality show superstar with the success of his VH1 reality shows. The rapper began his run by appearing on the Surreal Life. He and Bridgette Nielsen then landed their own show titled Strange Love which was followed by two super successful seasons of The Flavor of Love. During Flavor Flav’s initial run on Strange Love, his group mate and Public Enemy frontman, Chuck D, fired off a letter to VH1 executives accusing them of exploiting Flav. These days Chuck D is okay with Flavor Flav’s reality show activities. |
The rapper said, |
“Flavor Flav understands that that’s ten days. You do your TV show in ten to fourteen days. You still got to have three hundred and some odd days during the years. That’s why he’s a musician, the greatest hype man in the history of hip hop. And he’s the same guy, he ain’t never changed. So it’s important that myself and Griff and everybody else, do what we do. The more positive things that we all do, Flavor can be the one to have fun, I guess.” |
The group is currently working on a new album which they plan to release later this year. |
