SUNSHINE ANDERSON LANDS OPENING GIG

Sunshine Anderson gets a chance to promote her new album by opening for Joe and Brian McKnight……

R&B singer Sunshine Anderson recently got some good news when she was tapped to open for Joe and Brian McKnight on their upcoming tour. The tour kicks off on April 27th at the Paramount Theatre in Oakland, California, and wraps on June 3rd at the Verizon Wireless Theatre in Houston, Texas. The outing will give fans a chance to her Anderson’s new album, Sunshine At Midnight, which was released last month. The first single from the project is “Something I Wanna Give You.”

Anderson shared who she worked with on the new project. The singer said,

“We definitely got Mike City on the album. We got Nottz on the album. We got some new production by Mathematics and the Flintstones. Are they the Flintstones or the Stones, or what are they, the Flintstones. We got Raphael Saadiq on the album. We got a little Mike City-Dr. Dre collaboration going on there. Sunshine stepped her writing skills up on this album. You know we got some writing by Yummi Bingham who is a new artist about to drop. Tina Campbell from Mary Mary wrote us this great Flintstones-produced track entitled, ‘With You Baby.’ We got Lalah Hathaway singing on the backgrounds on that song so we got a solid project.”

The tour will be the singer’s first since she took a break from the recording industry in 2003. Anderson released her gold-certified debut album, Your Woman, in 2001.
