Shadow’s Fall is out on tour supporting their latest album, Threads Of Life, as part of the Jagermeister tour. The tour also features Stone Sour, who have crossed to pop on occasion, and the electronic/keyboard infused Lacuna Coil. |
The band is the heaviest on the bill, and vocalist Brian Fair talked about how all the bands fit together. |
“Yeah, well it’s kind of perfect actually. Honestly, not only does it give us a chance to kind of bring a heavier edge to the tour, it also brings a different audience in front of us as well. It’s a real great balance, and it also shows you the diversity of heavy music. If you look at any festival these days, you have a band like Lacuna that has that more real epic, melodic, and even trip-hop moments to their sound, and they can go on right before a grindcore band and it’s not that weird. People are real open minded about metal, and that’s what’s great about metal is there are very few boundaries and limits, and that’s why I feel the bands that get stuck in a formula are missing the point a little bit and keep repeating themselves, because metal to me is about pushing the boundaries, experimenting, bringing in a lot of different influences and really trying to find a new twist.
