WHEN MEG MET ADAM
The O.C. star Adam Brody is surrounded by an eclectic cast of women in The Land of Women including Kristen Stewart, recently seen in The Messengers, Olympia Dukakis and Meg Ryan. |
While Brody could hold his own playing a recently dumped guy who moves back in with his grandmother played by Dukakis, and connecting to the teenage neighbor played by Stewart, he felt most intimidated meeting Meg. |
“She’s fantastic and I was really intimidated to work with her first because before we did the movie I started thinking about everyone she’s costarred opposite, kind of every great actor of that generation she has gone head to head with and I just thought I hope she’s not supremely disappointed the first day she gets on set with me.” |
Adam will be pleased to find out that when Meg met him he left a greater impression on the When Harry Met Sally star than he thought. |
“He just has this facility with comedy that is also very rare but not only that he’s got this depth charge underneath it that comes as a big surprise. He’s pretty rooted in..I think there’s some dark water underneath all that great frothy stuff as well. It makes him a really interesting guy to watch and be around. He’s supremely funny.” |
In The Land of Women which opens Friday is written and directed by Jonathan Kasdan, Lawrence Kasdan’s other filmmaker offspring. His other son Jake helmed The TV Set. |
