JAMIE KENNEDY KICKS IT IN THE EIGHTIES
Jamie Kennedy is transported back to the decade he loves the most, the eighties in Kickin’ It Old Skool. It’s 1985 and Jamie stars as Rocket Shoe Schumaker known for his killer moves and his dance posse the Funky Fresh Boyz until one move lands him in a coma for the next 20 years. |
Jamie wakes up to find a lot has changed since he was kickin’ it old school. |
“I miss the dance because a lot of guys now they go to the club but for me back in the day it was more like this. That’s how I like to dance. That’s just me. It’s hard to do competitions with someone like me because my style is so unorthodox that they don’t know how to judge it.” |
Not only was Jamie making a movie about the 80s, he was feeling nostalgic and living in the decade off the set. |
“Bananarama 24/7. Just anything Bananarama. Don’t mess with me, I’m listening to Bananarama, that’s all I was doing. Cabbage patch dolls, pop rocks for breakfast. Vitari 2600 and John Hughes movies on the DVD. That’s all you gotta do. The eighties are the eighties. I love the eighties. I wish I was there right now.” |
Kickin’ It Old Skool opening Friday features cameos from 80s television legends Erik Estrada, Emmanuelle Lewis and David Hasselhoff. |
