TRIBECA FILM FESTIVAL IN FULL SWING FOR NYC
The Tribeca Film Festival kicked off on Wednesday, and stars from New York and from movies at the festival were on hand. |
The Tribeca Film festival kicked off Wednesday in New York City, and the best from New York City’s acting establishment and out of town talent attended to celebrate. Adrien Grenier, Jimmy Fallon, Edie Falco, Paul Rodriguez, Tiki Barber and Chaz Palminteri were among those who walked the red carpet. |
The festival was created to by co-founder Robert DiNiro to give a boost to lower Manhattan, to give New York City a boost post 9/11. Kerry Washington, who has become the hot actor of choice and who is a native of the Bronx, talked about what the festival means to her and to the city. |
“As a native New Yorker, it’s awesome. I’m so excited to be here. It’s wonderful. It brings hope to all kinds of tragic events that happen all over the world. Anything is possible.” |
The festival scheduled movies from Spider Man 3 to Lucky You to The Hammer to Leonardo DiCaprio’s The Garden Of Eden. It kicked off unofficially on April 24 and it runs until May 6. |
