BRIAN MCKNIGHT HEADLINING NEW TOUR
Singer and songwriter Brian McKnight is currently headlining the Ten Tour with Joe and Sunshine Anderson. The singer is still promoting his Warner Brother’s debut Ten. McKnight explained that he was able to pull from personal experiece for the set’s lead single, “Used To be My Girl. |
The singer explained how he came up with the song. He said, |
“Well it’s autobiographical in the sense that this situation happened. And it was kind of funny because she….this wasn’t a woman that was my girlfriend necessarily. It was somebody that I used to see. This was the first time that I’ve seen her in a while. She was with the guy that she’s with now. The fact that she had told him that she used to be with me and now he’s the three of us in this situation. He’s getting hot under the collar. My thing was…the message is anybody you’re gonna be with, used to be with somebody so be happy with the time that you’re with them. You know don’t worry about the past unless you feel like there’s a need to. It’s very tongue and cheek and it’s very humorous to me but it’s a very real situation. But yeah it was autobiographical.” |
The next stop on the Ten Tour is St. Louis, Missouri, on May 3rd. The tour is scheduled to wrap on June 3rd in Houston, Texas. |
