MENA SUVARI INTO FASHION OF THE FACTORY
Fashion conscious Mena Suvari loved the clothes she wore in Factory Girl. |
American Beauty star Mena Suvari wasn’t even born when Andy Warhol’s The Factory made its mark in the 60s but the fashion conscious actress certainly got into the clothes for her character Richie Berlin. |
Mena says everything old is new again and she’s loving the styles that the film Factory Girl is bringing back. |
“I mean definitely when I was younger it was all about bell bottoms you know I mean. I like expressing myself in that way. It’s hard for me to talk like this because I’m not even 28 yet, like I even knew back then but what I believe was it was just a time where there was so much acceptance. There was a lot of chaos going on in the world but it was this new beginning for people to dress extravagantly and push it to the extremes and you don’t really have that so much anymore so it’s come full circle again.” |
Mena puts her own stamp on her fashion style which she says expresses her unique personality. |
“I love this line L-A-M-B, it’s Gwen Stefani’s line. Yeah I’m wearing stripes today but I didn’t even mean to do that. It’s my style and it’s something I really connect with. Fashion always recycles itself and that was a period that created so many looks that people put their stamp on and their mark you know on time.” |
Mena’s next fashion movie statement will be very zombie-like in the remake of George Romero’s Day of The Dead. |
