Rapper Snoop Dogg is one of the stars of the new animated movie, Arthur & The Invisibles. The film also features the voices of Robert DeNiro, Mia Farrow, Madonna, Jimmy Fallon, Harvey Keitel, Freddie Highmore, and Emilio Estevez. Snoop explained that there were some similarities between himself and his character. He said, |

“My character’s name is Max. He’s like the guy who basically runs this little underground club that has the drinks and the, you know, party atmosphere and what not. Where all the villians and everybody come to have a nice little drink and what not. So the stars of the movie just so happen to past through his situation, his bar and what not. So he’s trying to get at the beautiful princess and trying to be slick and slimy, sort of like kinda like me. That’s why they gave me the role.” |
The hour long special follows the rapper as he returns to the streets of Long Beach and the California juvenile facility called the “Youth Authority” where he spenttime during his teenage years. The rapper will also visit the location where he was jumped into the Crips. “Jumped in” is a phrase used to explain the gang initiation process in which the new member is beaten up by current gang members. |
In related news, Snoop Dogg will be headed out on tour this spring with P. Diddy. The two are scheduled to launch a European tour in March. |
