EVA MENDES MAKES GHOST RIDER FESS UP

Eva Mendes plays a different kind of super hero girlfriend.

Eva Mendes stars in Ghost Rider as Johnny Blaze’s childhood sweetheart who grows up to become a reporter and finds herself caught in the middle of a bitter feud between Ghost Rider and the Devil’s son played by Wes Bentley.

Eva is Nicolas Cage’s love interest but she is not your typical super hero girlfriend.

“One of my favorite scenes in the movie is when he discloses to me that he is Ghost Rider and we’ve never seen that before in a comic book. Usually the female, the love interest finds out in some awful way and she feels betrayed and lied to and blah, blah, blah. And in this we actually have him admitting and telling my character that no I am indeed the Ghost Rider. This is what happens to me and I think it’s a great scene.”

Eva talks about why Nicolas was perfect for the dual role.

“Nic is the perfect choice to play Ghost Rider because he brings in all his eccentricities and his uniqueness. I don’t think we’ve ever seen a comic book hero portrayed like this before. I mean the guy’s drinking jelly beans out of a martini glass. It’s fantastic.”

The audience obviously agrees as Ghost Rider was the number one movie earning $44.5 million over President’s Day weekend. Eva had such a good time she hopes to work with Nicolas Cage on another comic book adaptation, She Hulk.
