Despite the threat of another racer stealing his thunder, Bobby still keeps his winnings close to his heart. There was one particular race that stands out for him.

“The brightest moment was when I won the Daytona 500. There I was in the winner’s circle. I got my whole family. I got my teammates. I got Cal. I got the governor of Florida and I had a stomach flu earlier that day and I threw up on his shoes. That was not my brightest moment but just being there answering all my critics being able to say, ‘hey look what I did,’ and look what you can’t do if you decide to become a professional race car driver.”
