10 YEARS OF AUTUMN
10 Years has landed a spot on the Mudvayne and Korn tour, which starts in late February, thanks to the strength of their new effort, The Autumn Effect. The band has a certified Top 5 Alternative Rock hit with “Wasteland,” and the track has captured the top spot on the Active Rock chart. |
The band’s album has a lot of different flavors which flow seamlessly into one-another. Drummer Brian Vodinh talked with us about the title of the collection. |
“We were like, ‘OK what will sum up what we’ve created the best,’ and we really wanted to make an organic sounding record, an organic feeling record and one that had flow to it because it has some interludes in it here and there and we feel like from top to bottom we feel like it has a pretty decent flow. Autumn is like, you know, growth but then decay, things dying and then all of the sudden when seasons change it’s a rebirth of everything. And we felt like with just the way we feel about that subject and the way the record flows and everything that it had a very seasonal vibe to the record. There’s ups and downs, and there’s a dyanimic there.” |
Vodinh added that autumn was especially appropriate considering the dark nature of the songs. |
“You know, autumn, as a season anyway, is kind of a dark, gloomy time, and the record has a dark vibe to it. It all kind of felt like that really summed up the record.” |
Prior to heading out with Korn, the band will play about two weeks of headlining shows starting February 2 at Planet Rock in Jacksonville, North Carolina. |
