HOLIDAY STAR SEWELL DOESN’T MAKE NEW YEARS RESOLUT

Rufus Sewell, who gets the short end of the stick with Kate Winslet in The Holiday, says he’s given up on New Year’s Resolutions

Rufus Sewell stars as the man who gets the short end of the stick for the affections of Kate Winslet in The Holiday. With New Year’s Eve right around the bend, Sewell told us that there’s really nothing concrete happening for him in 2007.

He was asked if he had any New Year’s Resolutions.

“I don’t believe in New Year’s Resolutions. I really strongly don’t believe in them. I’ve tried them, but they tend to be a load of rubbish, so no. If I strongly believe in doing something I believe in not doing it as a New Year’s resolution — because that tends to last about three days. And good luck with everyone else, but I don’t do them.”

Sewell may be sad to see 2006 go. He not only starred in The Holiday, he also appeared in the Illusionist as Crown Prince Leopold and also appeared in Amazing Grace.
