BLUE OCTOBER SINGER TO BE A PAPA THIS SPRING

Blue October is taking much better care of their singer’s broken leg and avoiding all things wet.

Blue October has a leg up on the new tour, and vocalist Justin Furstenfeld hopes that he doesn’t get to strike three with his twice broken leg. The band had to cancel dates on two separate occasions due to the broken limb suffered by Furstenfeld. The first time he broke it he was rounding the bases in a minor league park.

Furstenfeld talked about the current condition of his leg.

“It’s doing good. I’m actually back in a gym everyday working with a trainer to get it up and good and me back to where I used to be. It’s getting good, good rehabilitation and trying to work hard and stay focused.”

Furstenfeld said that the second time he broke his leg it was an understandable but unfortunate circumstance.

“It was a pretty bad break the first time, you know, and my leg was already weak and so when I was out on the road I slipped in the bathroom becuase it was just a wet floor. Anyone would have slipped, and I just caught it and snapped it again.”

Blue October remains on the road through April, when he’ll take time off to join his wife for the birth of their baby.
