JENNIFER COOLIDGE COUNTS DOWN TO GOLDEN GLOBES

The star of For Your Consideration, the spoof about the Oscars, weighs in on Golden Globes ceremony.

The 64th annual Golden Globes is a night where the stars first strut their stuff down the red carpet for the paparazzi before sitting down to dinner and drinks at the swanky Beverly Hilton Hotel to find out whether or not they’ll go home with the coveted statue.

Jennifer Coolidge, the star of For Your Consideration, a spoof about the Oscars weighs in on the hoopla surrounding awards ceremonies.

“I’ve been to the Golden Globes. I don’t think I’ve ever been to the Oscars. I’ve been to the Golden Globes because Best In Show was up for best comedy writing or something. We were up for that so I went to that. I like the people on the red carpet that bash the other actors in their outfits. I love the whole thing. I’m just mad that they’re aren’t more mistakes. Everyone has a stylist now and no one makes mistakes anymore.”

Jennifer has never one a Golden Globe before but she’s already penned her acceptance speech should the day ever come.

“And all mine consisted of was all the people that had messed me up in my life and how I was so glad to tell them that I was up on stage. It was all sort of a revenge piece and I named all the people that had messed with me in my life. And I think it would stay the same, yeah. Yeah the people that have wronged me.”

Jennifer is rooting for Helen Mirren who is up for a Golden Globe for best performance by an actress in a drama for The Queen. The Golden Globes airs tonight at 8PM on NBC.
