TOM EVERETT SCOTT AND GABRIEL MACHT WANT MOORE
Tom Everett Scott and Gabriel Macht play two very different men vying for Mandy Moore’s affections in Because I Said So. |
Diane Keaton takes control over her daughter’s life played by Mandy Moore in Because I Said So by placing a personal ad to find Mr. Right as Mandy hasn’t had much luck in the dating department. |
On paper Tom Everett Scott is the sensible guy with a steady job, and to Keaton he’s the chosen one. |
“So I’m the mother’s choice which gives you some idea what kind of nut I am. I come across as the very nice guy, very stable; an architect with his own place. And is charming whatever, charming enough for the mom and then wind up somehow getting into this relationship with Millie that she’s simultaneously seeing the Johnny character. I think it’s about when you love something let it go. If you’re trying to hold onto something that’s just gonna backfire.” |
Gabriel Macht plays the competition vying for Mandy’s affections who meets her in a very unconventional way. |
“You see this girl with like a balloon stuck to her bum and she’s all static cling in this whole thing and looks kind of like a mess in this whole thing. And she just looks like she’s having an off day and that’s what he loves about her. I think there was something interesting about that. Oh I want to see you at your best. This could be not your worst because it’s definitely not. I mean she looks beautiful when I see her but it’s that kind of slant on things.” |
Despite Diane Keaton’s meddling into her daughter’s new love life, both Scott and Macht become worthy opponents. You’ll have to see the film though to find out which guy win’s Mandy’s heart. |
