THE CORRDRY BROTHERS SHOW OFF VOCAL TALENTS
The Corrdry Brothers Rob and Nate show off their vocal skills for animated film Arthur and The Invisibles. |
The Corrdry brothers, Nate of Studio 60 and The Sunset Strip and older brother Rob, former correspondent of The Daily Show join forces as the evil Seides in Arthur and The Invisibles. |
David Bowie plays their sinister boss Maltazard who wants to take over the Minimoy universe. The guys were in awe of their master. |
Nate: We play sort of David Bowie’s hapless henchmen which is something I’ve aspired to even when I was 11 or 12. Rob: It’s something I’ve always wanted to be. Nate: I wanted to be in the Spiders From Mars and that never happened. Rob: I wanted to do evil for David Bowie forever. Nate: In cartoon. Rob: But in terms of what we brought to the character this is actually my line which will probably be the classic line of the film is, ‘Ugh.’ Remember that one?’” |
Nate and Rob actually never met Bowie during the course of filming as they were isolated in their sound proof booths making funny fighting noises. |
Nate: He was in charge of expressions and there’s some fighting so I was in charge of fight noises. Rob: Do your fight noises. Nate: Can I have it quiet? Rob: We’re working. Nate: Ugh, Um, Ah, Eh ah, Ooh, Gah.” |
Rob says to prepare for their roles they dressed up as the characters and paraded around Los Angeles without getting a second glance. |
