ROB ZOMBIE EDUCATED HORSES FROM 9 TO 5
Rob Zombie greeted fans and signed copies of his new album, Educated Horses, which arrived in stores on Tuesday, March 28. The album is the latest from Geffen Records’ longest tenured artist, and judging by the turn-out at New York’s Virgin Megastore, fans still remember the artist nearly five years since the release of his last solo studio effort, The Sinister Urge. The collection features the new single “Foxy Foxy.” |
With Zombie this go around is guitarist John5, who also has carved out a nice career of his own. John5 told us what it was like completing Educated Horses with Rob. |
“We started, let’s see… The whole process took about two months, which is odd becuase it’s really quick to do a record like that. For some reason me and Rob and Scott Humphries who has done all the records with Rob, we really got along well. We just clicked, and we wrote these songs and they were really, really, really good songs. I was really proud. It was really different and we did a lot of work. We usually worked from 10:00 and 5:00, and at 5:00 we pretty much checked out.” |
Zombie was the frontman for the legendary White Zombie, which broke up in the mid-90s. Zombie’s other studio efforts include 1998’s Hellbilly Deluxe, American Made Music To Strip By, and The Sinister Urge. Zombie is currently on the road and tour dates run through May 5 in Grand Prairie, Texas. |
