UGK RELEASES NEW SINGLE

R&B singer Cassie has successfully made the transition from model to singer. The singer’s Ryan Leslie-produced debut single, “Me & U,” eurpted in Europe before it made its way to U.S. airwaves via Cassie’s MySpace page. Her self-titled debut entered the Billboard 200 albums chart at Number Four last month.

Cassie is now set to release a new single from the project. She said,

“‘Long Way 2 Go!’ Actually Ryan Leslie produced my whole album and I’m actually rapping on it. It’s like a Vanity 6 ‘Nasty Girl’ feel. It’s fun.”

The Connecticut native also explained what fans can expect from the video. Cassie said,

“Well Erik White did it. It was amazing. And we just had a clip with me with a little dance off. Something a little bit different from ‘Me & U’ cause ‘Me &U’ was just me by myself.”

Cassie, who is managed by Tommy Mottolla, is also reading several scripts and the singer hopes to eventually get into acting.
