Korn is all set to kick off their tour in their hometown of Bakersfield, California and the band’s accomplishments have not been lost on the town. the band will be presented with a bronze plaque achievement awards and will have a street named after themin Bakersfield. Expected to be on hand is the town’s mayor and a few other city officials. |
Korn frontman Jonathan Davis said recently that that everything that happened, from the time they first met in Bakersfield, has been a product of destiny. |
“From the beginning of this band everything has been so meant to be and so organic. Everything has happened for a reason. For me even just getting… from Munky and Head walking into the bar and seeing me sing in this little bar in Bakersfield, everything that’s ever happened wiht this band has been for a reason. I think head leaving was for a reason and the new label coming on, and the four of us making this incredible record, a totally new different thing, is all for some great plan. It’s all for some reason.” |
Opening for Korn is Mudvayne and 10 Years. The tour is in support of Korn’s latest album See You On The Other Side, and also in support of their new single, “Coming Undone.” |
