MILITARY MOVED BY DELTA FARCE
The military farce Delta Farce has won over the soldiers in Iraq. |
Delta Farce is a comedy using the military as the backdrop for the story but little did the cast know that the film would be a morale booster for the real troops in battle. |
Bill Engvall who plays a beer drinking target shooter mistaken for an Army reservist says they got the thumbs up from the soldiers. |
“Well I think the most exciting thing about the film is that we’re doing a comedy. We’ve had several military people come out and say they can’t wait for it to come out because they want to see it to raise their spirits. While that wasn’t the initial intent it’s one of the great perks of the movie and I hope that they like it because it’s a funny movie.” |
Bill says that Delta Farce is in no way meant to be disrespectful for the men fighting for our country. |
“I think you’re gonna have a great time, a good laugh and I think you’re gonna walk out—what I hope is I think that people realize that we’re not making fun of the military, that we all have the most undying respect for anybody in the military and this is just our way of saying, ‘you know what we know stuff is bad in the world but maybe this’ll lighten up a little bit’ and we can give people something to laugh at.” |
The tag line for the movie confirms exactly what Bill says, ‘war isn’t funny but this movie is.’ |
