RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE 2007 COACHELLA PHOTO GALLERY
Here is Artisan News Service’s photo gallery from Coachella of one of the world’s most explosive and controversial bands. |
It’s been since September of 2000 since Rage Against the Machine brought their politically infused mix of hard rock and rap to the mainstream and Zack de la Rocha, Tom Morello and the boys thought the time was right to spread their message once again. And what better way to showcase the band’s triumphant return to the stage than closing down Coachella on Sunday April 29th, 2007. With an overwhelming amount of anxious fans flooding the mainstage, Rage Against the Machine tore through old standards ‘Testify’, ‘Calm Like a Bomb’, ‘Geurilla Radio’, ‘Bombtrack’ and ‘People of the Sun.’ Clearly the musical community was waiting for political activist and lead vocalist, Zack de la Rocha to unleash his tirade, but few were expecting him to call for Bush and his entire cabinet to be tried, hung and shot as war criminals, just like the Nazi’s of World War II. Photographer Brian Miller captured what was an intense set by one Los Angeles’ most legendary bands ever. |
Rage Against the Machine have a few North American Tour Dates on the Rock the Bells Tour along side The Wu Tang Clan, Cypress Hill and The Roots to name a few. The Rock the Bells Tour will make stops in New York July 28th and 29th, Los Angeles on August 11th and in San Francisco August 18th. Look for Rage Against the Machine to get back into the studio to write new material as we all know there’s a multitude of current events, world politics and corrupt governments the band will undoubtedly gain inspiration from. |
