“I’m looking forward to being involved with the Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival. This is my second year, I hosted it last year. The headliner last year was Big Daddy Kane which was really cool. We had great turn out in Brooklyn under the Brooklyn Bridge. We had so many different people, so many different artist that came out that were like you know, ‘Wow this is hot right here. How can I get down with this.” |
Virginia-based rapper Skillz added, |
“My involvement with the festival this year is I’m one of the performing acts. I feel like I’m in real good company. I’m on with Tanya Morgan, Consequence, Ghostface. It’s my first time. I just feel like it’s a good event. It’s a good festival. And we’re always talking about some of the things you know that hip hop doesn’t do. Some of the outlets that we don’t have. Well we do have this outlet and I believe that you know we can come together. Be peaceful, good music, good people, good vibes.” |
