KATHERINE HEIGL HAS FEARED BEING KNOCKED UP
Knocked Up star Katherine Heigl empathized with her character’s worst nightmare of having a baby before she was ready. |
Grey’s Anatomy star Katherine Heigl finds herself in a hospital for very different reasons in the comedy Knocked Up. Her character has her whole career in front of her as she’s been promoted from a producer to an on-air personality on the E! television network until one night of heavy partying to celebrate leads to a one-night stand with Seth Rogen’s slacker, and well the title says it all. |
Katherine says she related to the predicament her character finds herself in the film. |
“I think it’s like every girl’s worst nightmare, the idea that everything in life is going the way you want it to. You’ve worked very hard, you’re getting to where you want to go and you make one stupid decision and you get pregnant. I mean that’s certainly been my worst nightmare. It’s the kind of thing that I have been terrified of ever happening to me when I’m not prepared for it or not ready. My career isn’t in the right place or my love life isn’t in the right place. It’s just one of those things that every mother warns you about.” |
Some people are just not buying that a beautiful woman like Katherine would even go for Rogen. Katherine plays down the whole beauty and the beast scenario. |
“He’s not like a troll. I don’t understand this. Why are they making him into this guy that he’s not. It’s not that unbelievable that they would date or that they would flirt with each other. And I think especially for a woman or at least for me one of the most important qualities about anybody you happen to be out and you meet, what would appeal to you immediately is his sense of humor, is the fact that he’s funny and kind of confident.” |
Katherine is currently shooting the romantic comedy 27 Dresses playing a serial bridesmaid secretly in love with her sister’s fiancé. In real life Katherine doesn’t subscribe to the saying always a bridesmaid, never a bride as she’s engaged to rocker Josh Kelley. |
