OCEANS 13 DEALT WINNING HAND
Oceans 13 is number one at the box office this weekend. |
Oceans 13 was dealt a winning hand at the box office this weekend taking in $37 million. The third sequel saw the return of George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, and Don Cheadle heading the crew to take down the Bank Hotel run by Al Pacino. |
Carl Reiner returns as Sol Bloom posing as posh hotel critic Kensington Chubb who creates a distraction so the guys can begin their ruse against Pacino. Reiner talks about what it was like to reunite with the cast. |
“That was one of the best things about doing this movie, seeing all the guys again. I call them otters. They’re not actors, they’re otters. They play all the time. George Clooney the other day got into an incarnation of Bing Crosby. He could not stop talking like Bing Crosby. Then all of a sudden he’s Sammy Davis, Jr. Any place you look, left right or in back of you there’s entertainment going on. Somebody is horsing around. It’s the kind of horsing around you don’t expect. These men are all very, very intelligent, mostly educated, Cheadle all of them tremendously educated and yet they’re the silliest human beings I’ve ever seen.” |
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End was sunk by Oceans 13 to second place with $21 million while Knocked Up was knocked down to third place with $20 million over the weekend. |
