JOHN CUSACK CHECKS IN, BUT NOT OUT
John Cusack, the star of 1408 discusses creepy hotel rooms he’s stayed in. |
John Cusack stars in 1408, based on the Stephen King short story playing a bestselling author who debunks paranormal events including haunted hotel rooms. |
Room 1408 in The Dolphin Hotel is known to inhabit unexplainable guests which checked in but never checked out. John oddly enough reveals an eerie hotel experience he had while staying at Mohonk Mountain House, the haunted hotel that inspired The Shining. |
“There was a really old turn of the century, just like in The Shining but in upstate, New York. I think it was up in the Catskills. When we were walking home at night after hitting the bar with the crew there were these big long corridors and we were down at the far end of it and when we walked through a certain wing of that hotel you practically ran to get to where you were going. It felt really, really weird there. I don’t mess with that juju so OK, I’m gonna go about my business and no problem here. Just let me pass.” |
John’s character discovers he is being haunted by unfinished business which he says is very real. |
“Yeah I do actually. We have a karmic debt where whatever you don’t work out in this lifetime you probably have to come back and work it out. Maybe that’s what these ghosts are all upset about.” |
John is continuing to delve into the paranormal as he’s getting ready to play psychic Edgar Cayce who was a conduit to other worlds. |
