JOHN CUSACK ENCOUNTERS FRIENDLY GHOSTS

1408 star John Cusack had encounters with friendly ghosts.

John Cusack starring in 1408 as a writer confronted with evil spirits when he checks into a haunted hotel has no problem with ghosts, as long as they’re the friendly kind.

John reveals he’s had encounters that were unexplainable.

“I’ve had three things happen to me but none of them was that bad. I definitely couldn’t explain it. I actually was with people and something moved in the room and then we both tried to encyclopedia brown it, and said ‘alright was there an earthquake or was that table rickety and somebody put a match stick under there’ to keep the table from being rickety. We couldn’t explain it. I don’t know what it was but I know to the best of my knowledge me and the person I was with had no idea what caused that to happen. I don’t mess with bad juju. I don’t want anybody to come after me.”

John listens to his instincts when it comes to unfriendly ghosts and doesn’t hang around to get to know them better.

“If it was something that happened it was friendly. We were both kind of excited by it. I’ve been in bars or rooms where you definitely felt like somebody’s done something wrong here and something’s hanging around. But I usually get out of those rooms. I’m not like the character I play in the movie who wants to get into those rooms.”

1408 also stars Samuel L. Jackson as the hotel manager who heeds a warning to Cusack about the possessed guest room. 1408 opens Friday in theaters.
