GOO GOO DOLLS CONTINUING EFFORTS WITH USA HARVEST ON UPCOMING
The Goo Goo Dolls will once again be teaming with USA Harvest to help out local communities on their tour and they need your help too! |
The Goo Goo Dolls are set to start another round of touring and they once again will be teaming with USA Harvest to help out local communities and they need your help. The band kicked off a tour on a tour with Lifehouse on June 15 in Phoenix in support of their new album Let Love In and their new song for the Transformers soundtrack, “Before It’s Too Late.” |
Vocalist/guitarist Johnny Rzeznik and Robby Takac talk about working with USA Harvest, which fees the needy locally. |
“Yeah, we’re asking all our people that come out to see us to please keep up the support for USA Harvest. Bring as much non-perishable food items as you can to the shows and the volunteers from USA Harvest will pick it up and distribute it in your community…and help your neighbors out. It makes the whole night more fun.” |
Rzeznik added that he likes USA Harvest because there’s no bureaucracy as far as helping people directly. |
“I just… I like USA Harvest because there’s no money changing hands. There’s no corporate bureaucracy or whatever going on there. It stays in the community. What’s collected in that community, stays in the community. In a way, that enriches that community because it goes literally from one neighbor to another and it kind of firms up the base of what’s going on in that particular area.” |
Goo Goo Dolls postponed their Tuesday, June 19, show in Los Angeles and rescheduled it for September 6. The reason for the change was that the band wanted to take part in the series of concerts which will raise funds for the Los Angeles area Griffiths Park, which was destroyed by wildfires. |
