CLAIRE DANES DECIDES BETWEEN TWO LOVERS

Claire Danes is caught between the right man she loves and the wrong one that loves her in Evening.

Claire Danes stars in Evening, the story of a young girl visiting her best friend on her wedding night who gets swept away by the housekeeper’s dashing son played by Patrick Wilson, while her best friend’s brother played by Hugh Dancy reveals his true feelings for her.

Claire discusses her character’s relationship to Dancy.

“Ann has quite a longstanding friendship with Buddy who is pretty chaotic and disorganized, tortured. And I think she has fallen into the role of nurturer and caretaker and worries pretty excessively about his well-being and feels a little responsible for him, a little inappropriately actually. But she has a deep love for him.”

Danes finds herself in the arms of the hunky Wilson who is a much better match.

“And Harris is just incredibly alluring and really antithetical to Buddy in that he’s really composed and accomplished and focused and sane. And I think she’s relieved to meet somebody who she actually doesn’t have to rescue.”

Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy who in real life are dating actually met on the set of Evening where their romance blossomed. Evening which also stars Vanessa Redgrave playing Claire as an older woman opens Friday in theaters.
