MOTHER DAUGHTER ACTORS SHARE PERSONAL SCENES IN EVENING

Natasha Richardson and her mother Vanessa Redgrave act out their relationship on screen in Evening.

Evening was a kindred affair with real life mother and daughter actors Vanessa Redgrave and Natasha Richardson playing out their family dynamic on the screen.

Natasha had the opportunity to engage in very emotional scenes, playing her mother’s on screen daughter comforting her in her dying moments while she looks back on her lost loves.

“It’s kind of a joy to be in this subject matter where we can actually use a lot of our own relationship and our own history and bring it to the table for this. So I’m thrilled to be working with her.”

Like mother, like daughter Vanessa Redgrave had the same feeling about sharing the screen with Natasha as well.

“I loved my scenes with my real daughter Natasha and with Toni Collette who plays my other daughter. And of courses Eileen Atkins who plays the night nurse. I really think it’s a remarkable film. I was very thrilled with it.”

Natasha and Vanessa have worked together before along with her mother’s sister Lynn Redgrave in The White Countess. Evening opens today in theaters.
