ROBIN WILLIAMS SAVES MARRIAGES
Here’s a novel idea to cut down on the divorce rate, take a course on ironing out your differences before you walk down the aisle. That’s the premise behind the comedy License To Wed starring Robin Williams as Reverend Frank, the marriage counselor to affianced Mandy Moore and John Krasinski. |
Robin says such a course just might save your marriage. |
“The part of the deal of getting married at St. Augustines is you have to go through my marriage preparation course. He has this belief that you can seriously reduce the number of divorce by actually kind of stress testing before marriage you really see if this is the right choice. As he says your future happiness depends upon it.”rn |
Robin who is familiar with divorce, now married 18 years to his second wife Marsha, formerly the nanny, says Reverend Frank gets to the root of their problems so they can live happily ever after. |
“Not just conflict but how do you deal with problems, problem solving, trust exercises. A lot of them, are in the same area; you know interpersonal things and also dealing with some of the more subtle things or one of the major stress tests is no sex until the honeymoon. For the modern couple that’s pretty much like, ‘what are you talking about?’” |
License To Wed opens tomorrow in theaters.rn |
