AMERIE IS BACK

Chingy and Amerie hook up for new single and video….

Washington, DC-based R&B singer Amerie will release her new album, Because I Love It, next month. The first single from the project is “Tale Control.” the song was produced by Mike Caren and written by Amerie and Cee-Lo Green. The new album also features production by Tim & Bob, The Buchanans, Brian Michael Cox, and DJ Premier. The album is the singer’s first set that will not feature a collaboration with Amerie’s long time producer Rich Harrison.

Amerie also recorded a song with Snoop Dogg for the new project. She said,

“It was great. I mean he’s really a great artist. He’s really cool. We have some people that we know in common. We have some people on the same team so it was really great. And the song is actually not a super uptempo record. It’s actually a mid, sexy and the beat hits really, really hard so I wanted somebody that could really carry that.”

Amerie released her debut album, All I Have, in 2002. She released her sophomore album Touch, in 2005.
