NO RESERVATIONS STARS SERVE IT UP
No Reservations stars took cooking classes and waitress training for their roles… See it here! |
Passion, love and food are the main ingredients of No Reservations starring Catherine Zeta-Jones and Aaron Eckhart, two Chefs who fall for each other in the kitchen of a five-star restaurant. |
Aaron who plays the sous chef in the film, answering to Catherine’s executive chef took boot camp cooking lessons. |
“I studied at a restaurant in Los Angeles called Malize which is on 11th and Wilshire. It’s a great restaurant, a lot of truffles, eggs and sauces that take three days to make and really great chefs, Chef Brandon and Josiah. I trained there. They gave me carte blanche to go into their restaurant and observe them which was thrilling to watch and the preparation, the love, the expertise. And then a restaurant in New York called Fiamma with Chef Michael White. He guided Catherine and us through this sort of boot camp of cooking.” |
Catherine went undercover serving patrons at Fiamma who thought she looked familiar. |
“I started working with Chef Michael White. As the top chef, the head chef you don’t physically do all the cch, cch, cch, chopping. You oversee everything and you dress the plates more and you make sure the sauces are right and the consistencies are right. And then I thought it would be a good idea that I actually go out on the floor and serve and be a waitress and describe specials. So that was terrifying, terrifying. And people were saying to me, ‘you know you look so much like Catherine Zeta-Jones’ and I said, ‘yeah you know what I get that all the time.’” |
No Reservations is currently playing in theaters. |
