NIKKI SIXX GIVES UPDATE ON UPCOMING MOTLEY CRUE MOVIE DIRT
Motley Crues Nikki Sixx reveals the band isn’t in a rush to make the wrong movie based on the band’s book, ‘The Dirt’ but the project is moving forward |
It seems Motley Crue’s movie based on the band’s tell all book ‘The Dirt’ is still moving forward. ‘The Dirt’ is the story behind one of Rock N Roll’s most notorious bands and tells their tale of Sex, Drugs and Rock N Roll through the eyes of the band. Vince Neil, Tommy Lee, Mick Mars and Nikki Sixx all had a hand in writing the book. Although Crue’s bassist, Nikki Sixx, admitted the movie has gone through two big name Hollywood Producers already the project is still in the pre production stage. |
We caught up with Sixx recently at the press conference announcing all the details of his forthcoming book ‘The Heroin Diaries’ and his subsequent soundtrack and upcoming tour with his new band Sixx A.M., to find out all latest dirt on the movie ‘The Dirt.’ |
“One phenomenal director, one of the biggest in the business wanted to do this very badly but it was a 70 million dollar movie and that was something we didn’t feel would work for the project. It would have been too glossed over. We got the second director and he lost focus on what the project was really about. He sort of dived into all the dirt in ‘The Dirt’ and that was the story and I don’t think that is the story. I think it’s a different movie. So, we’re now having meetings and we’re going to move forward with it. Like all things Motley Crue, it’s a very big bardge and it takes a long time to turn around. I’m in no rush to make the wrong movie.” |
Nikki Sixx and Sixx A.M. will be heading out on the road in support of ‘The Heroin Diaries’ that will take the through most of the year. Sixx also revealed Motley Crue’s plans of getting back into the studio in December to write new material for an upcoming Crue album, hopefully to be released in 2008. |
