LOPEZ AND FOGLER ARE WHAM! OF BALLS OF FURY

George Lopez thinks of his buddy relationship with Dan Fogler as a pop duo.

Television comedian George Lopez plays an FBI agent in Balls of Fury who recruits Dan Fogler’s ping pong champion to search for the evil Feng for killing his father.

George says Dan’s character brings him out of retirement from his recent desk job.

“I play an FBI agent by the name of Ernie Rodriguez who for the last five years has spent his FBI career at a desk because he bought an airplane full of oregano that he thought was marijuana so he’s been kind of ostracized to a desk jockey.”

George compares his buddy relationship with Dan Fogler to a popular music duo from the eighties.

“To win a Tony on Broadway and then to be around that guy as he starts his movie career is fantastic. I feel like, because this is a buddy movie as if George Michael would’ve taken the other dude from Wham with him on his trail of success. I’m the Andrew Ridgely of Balls of Fury but I’m being taken for the ride.”

Next George teams up with Kevin Costner in Swing Vote currently shooting in Albuquerque, New Mexico as the local TV station manager who gets caught up in the news about Costner’s working class single dad whose single vote decides the entire presidential election.
