ROBERT DOWNEY JR TALKS TROPIC THUNDER AND IRON MAN

Robert Downey, Jr. discusses his latest acting projects at The Brave One premiere.

Robert Downey, Jr. took time off from shooting Ben Stiller’s Tropic Thunder in Hawaii, the project where Owen Wilson had to unfortunately bow out of, to watch the premiere of The Brave One in New York.

Downey, Jr. who’s perfecting his Aussie accent playing an Australian actor talks about dying his locks beach blonde.

“I was saying I was having more fun but I’ve actually made sure that I’m doing things that are more fun so it might be a set up.”

Robert recently wrapped Iron Man, the much anticipated adaptation of the Marvel comic book super hero that has webzines buzzing.

“We got our new teaser on line and there was a lot of great reactions to it. One of them said Robert looks like he’s wearing more make-up than Gwyneth Paltrow. I actually thought it was great because all I did was I got on a tanning bed once a week. I always like if there’s gotta be someone out there who says, ‘what’s wrong with this joker. What’s he trying to jerk me up. He can’t play Iron Man.”

Downey, Jr. who admits he’s a geek himself will find out soon enough how the fans feel when Iron Man opens in May 2008.
