BAM BASHES WARPED TOUR
Bam Margera bashed the Warped Tour in response to his second Viva La Bands tour. |
Bam Margera is currently supporting his Viva La Bands 2 compilation and is also going out with the Viva L a Bands tour which features Cradle Of Filth, GWAR, CKY and Vains Of Jenna. |
Margera is hoping to expand it into an action sports/hardcore tour in the style of Warped, and he said that Kevin Lyman’s festival has become stale. |
“It’s just outdated. It’s not cool to say, ‘I’m going to the Warped Tour’ anymore — even though they have Tiger Army which is amazing. I like the Sum 41 dudes, but I mean it’s just the same s–t. It’s so been there, done that. I’ve been there so many times, and I’m over it. People need something new. They need new bands that no-one has heard of, and also GWAR has been around for so long, and their stage presence is so good. And if you’re going to go get ready to be covered in blood because they’re crazy.” |
Margera said that fans who come out to this year’s Viva La Bands tour are in for some between set treats. |
“Yeah, well the best part about it is that usually when a band changes it takes about thirty minutes for the new band to come on. A screen is going to drop down and show unreleased Jackass type stuff, some Viva La Bands clips, some music videos that I’ve done, and my new movie Ming Hags, I’m going to show some clips of so kids are in for a treat.” |
Bam Margera, who started off as an action sports star, also continues to make films, TV shows, music videos and radio programs. Bam was recently voted the most powerful person under 30 according to Stuff Magazine and we’ll have an update in the next few weeks on how Bam is dealing with his success. |
