KYRA SEDGWICK CLOSES IN ON CHARACTER

Kyra Sedgwick never knew how famous The Rock was before she made The Game Plan with him.

Kyra Sedgwick spent her summer vacation from The Closer, closer to home shooting in Boston, Massachusetts for The Game Plan playing The Rock’s football agent.

Kyra stepped into the role which was originally offered to Bebe Neuwirth when she had to bow out at the last minute to reunite with her Chicago cast for a special Broadway reunion. Kyra says she was attracted to her no nonsense attitude when it comes to getting the job done for her prized quarterback.

“He is her star client and she works really hard for him and she’s a really kick ass agent. She probably doesn’t take no for an answer and she’s real clear about keeping her eye on the prize. I thought I was very clear about who the character was and I just think she’s a hoot and she’s just not gonna let him get away with anything.”

Kyra must’ve been living under a rock as she didn’t really know who The Rock was before production began, until her son Travis suggested she do a little research on the internet and inundated herself with his wrestling images. When she got to meet him in person she was impressed.

“Everyone’s always surprised at what a nice, kind, considerate gentleman he is. I mean this guy is a serious gentleman. I don’t think I’ve ever met a bigger gentleman in every way. He’s just incredibly kind and considerate and really funny and really charming.”

Kyra returns to shooting season four of The Closer in March. The Game Plan opens Friday, September 28th in theaters nationwide.
