THE KINGDOM DELIVERS ACTION
Jamie Foxx and Jennifer Garner brag about how action packed The Kingdom is. |
The Kingdom is the story of special FBI agents who are called into investigating a terrorist attack on a Western housing compound in Saudi Arabia. |
Jamie Foxx who heads the teams says not only does the film carry a message of understanding and tolerance; it also delivers a lot of action. |
“Yeah that’s what I like. When they get to shooting guns and get to chasing people, fighting and falling and all that kind of stuff. I love that. What you can expect about this movie is a ride. I mean you really latch onto these characters and you forget about the whole political thing. You’re just riding on this wave of emotions with the characters. And then the action part of it, the action is really the pay-off towards the end where you know it’s going and it doesn’t stop until everybody’s just exhausted and you’re finished and you’re like, ‘wow I’ve been on this great ride.’ So come ride with us on The Kingdom.” |
Jennifer, who plays an FBI operative whose mentor is killed in the bombing says the film’s climactic ending is a big pay-off both visually and emotionally. |
“It is intense. It will make you laugh. There are times where it’s really hard to watch. It might make you cry and then two thirds of the way through it, it becomes an action movie and has action unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. A car chase with a car wreck unlike anything you’ve ever seen with all of us dangling upside down in our cars spiraling across and all of that works totally on its own. But on your way home or maybe the next day you’ll have a conversation that maybe you wouldn’t have had just from having seen it.” |
The Kingdom currently playing in theaters came in second at the box office this weekend earning $18 million. The Rock’s football comedy The Game Plan came in first with $23 million. |
