STYLES P TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM IN DECEMBER

Styles P set to release solo album in December.

Styles P of the Lox and D-Block will release his next solo project, Supa Gangsta, Extraordinary Gentleman, on December 4th through D-Block/Koch Records. The first single from the project is “Blow My Mind” featuring Swizz Beatz. The new album also features guest appearances by Jadakiss, Sheek Louch, and Beanie Sigel.

Styles P released his gold-certified 2002 debut, A Gangster And A Gentlemen, and 2006’s Time Is Money on Interscope Records. The new album is the rapper’s first independent release. He shared what the transition has been like so for. Styles said,

“I mean the transition is beautiful. It’s good to be independent. I’ve been in this game since about ’95 and you basically don’t really want to work for somebody your whole life. You want to be in control of your own career. Being such a street hip hop related artist like myself, it’s kind of diffcult being in a mainstream corporate industry. So for a dude like me, it’s great man. I get to rock on, do what I want to do. They understand what I do. They know what I do. That’s what they want. You know what I’m sayin’? I’m working with somebody. I don’t work for somebody, you know?”

In related news, a new Lox album is in the works. The group’s last release was 2000’s We Are The Streets.
