MARISA TOMEI BARES ALL IN FIRST DAY OF THE WRESTLER
The Oscar winner is her most vulnerable in the opening scene of Before The Devil Knows You’re Dead. |
You might say the devil was in Marisa Tomei for the opening scene in Before The Devil Knows You’re Dead as she is completely naked in shall we say an unextremely uncompromising position with Philip Seymour Hoffman who plays her husband in the film. |
It was a brave move for Marisa who figured she’s old enough by now to go for it with the help of director Sidney Lumet, but one wonders what her parents will think when they see their daughter in the scene. |
“I’m grown up now. Guess it’ll really hit home. Well I kind of definitely, I just spoke to my mom about it the other day too. I said, ‘I don’t know if you really want to come to this or want to see it.’ Oh we heard already. We heard, we know. And that was the end. OK, but it’s a class act with Sidney. I’ve got the Sidney factor; it balances it out.” |
The Oscar winner who is so comfortable in her own skin says she wants to explore that naked side of herself more and more. |
“I think I felt more comfortable than I did just acting fully clothed. Well it’s definitely on my list of things to go for in life being more and more in tune with my body and more and more comfortable living from a presence in the body instead of in the head or not really where you are.” |
Next Marisa will tackle the most vulnerable acting job, on stage, in Oh The Humanity at the Flea Theater in New York which she describes the beauty and the desperation of being human. This will be the first time she’s performed in New York since starring opposite Al Pacino in Salome. |
