WU-TANG CLAN RESOLVE CONFLICT WITH GHOSTFACE KILLAH
Wu-Tang Clan and Ghostface Killah resolve conflict over release dates….. |
Ghostface Killah recently aired some fo the Wu-Tang Clan’s dirty laundry. The rapper accused the Wu-Tang Clan’s hierarchy of allegedly withholding tour funds from the Rock The Bell tour and pushing the group’s album, 8 Diagrams, back to December 4th which is date that Ghostface Killah planned to release his new album, The Big Dough Rehab. |
RZA, who is part of the Wu-Tang Clan hierarchy, told MTV.com, “The blame can’t fall on me like that. Wu-Tang Clan is a bunch of brothers working on one common cause. … We planned to put that record out in September, then October, and it kept getting pushed because it’s just a lot of work, yo. … I wasn’t really conscious (Ghost) was dropping an album on December 4th, but yesterday we moved our (group) record from the 4th to the 11th. We gave that spot to Ghostface … because of how he felt. … I had to make that call. (SRC label head) Steve Rifkind also, he was getting bashed up by Ghost. So … we moved.” |
“You know it’s like a reunion. At the same time, I believe it’s Ol Dirty Bastard’s birthday you know or the anniversary of the day he passed away. I have to find that out so don’t quote me but it’s one of the two. You know what I’m sayin’ so……Yeah it’s a significant date you know. As far as I know right now there’s nobody really major, big time dropping around that time so it’s not gonna be a whole lot of you know competition.” |
The Wu-Tang Clan’s 8 Diagrams will now hit stores on December 11th. Ghostface Killah’s The Big Dough Rehab will hit shelves on December 4th. |
The Wu-Tang Clan’s Inspectah Deck explained why the group was hoping to put the project out in November. He said, |
