TOBIN BELL BOTHERED BY TORTURE
Tobin Bell disagrees with torture, the motto of the Saw films as a way to solve anything. |
We all know that Jigsaw is dead so when Saw IV star Tobin Bell undergoes his own torture in the opening autopsy scene, the image is like an accident; you want to look away but you’re compelled to watch. |
Tobin says the bloody and graphic scene will most definitely gross some people out. |
“Oh yeah I’m sure it will. I’ve heard about it. A lot of people have talked to me about it. And I understand there are some clips of it on the internet. Part of it is me and part of it is the wonderful world of Hollywood. I’ll have to leave it to the viewers to decide which is which. It’s great stuff. It’s good stuff to play. It’s like the surgery scene in Saw III. I think it’s interesting that Jigsaw submits himself to mechanical devices with such a degree of enthusiasm in Saw III similar to some of the people that he deals with.” |
Tobin still thinks torture isn’t the way of solving anything despite the fact that he’s been playing Jigsaw, the man behind the traps that do just that for three years. |
“I mean we’re all tortured in our own way. For some reason the subway in New York comes to my mind when the air conditioning is turned off and it’s after rush hour and people are in there going from the Battery to 125th Street. And there’s emotional torture and financial torture and family torture and alcoholism. Torture is not any way to solve anything.” |
With the magic of movie making Tobin Bell will continue to appear in Saw V and Saw VI which are currently being written for Halloween releases 2009 and 2010. |
