AEROSMITH AXEMAN TALKS ABOUT RED SOX AND PATRIOTS
Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry, talks about the Boston Red Sox winning the World Series and his other hometeam, the New England Patriots on a roll. |
Joe Perry and his band Aerosmith are affectionately known as the Bad Boys from Beantown, and it looks like the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots can be called the same. Last night the Red Sox won the World Series sweeping the National League Colorado Rockies in four games. |
With the Red Sox winning, and the undefeated New England Patriots steamrolling their opponents this year, one of football and baseball’s sorriest franchises respectively, have turned it around this decade. We asked Joe Perry, who supports all his area teams, if he and the rest of Boston have gotten used to being powerhouses instead of doormats. |
“It’s too much to hope for at this point. I mean we’re all watching it, and it’s incredible to see it. It’s turning the town upside down. Between the Pats and the Sox playing, I don’t know how any work is being done in Boston, frankly.” |
Joe Perry has played at various Boston area sporting events, and he’s friends with the Kraft family which owns the Patriots – they keep a sky box warm for him whenever the guitarist and family want to take in a game. |
