Avenged Sevenfold’s new self-titled and self-produced album hit Number Four on the Billboard 200 charts and topped the Alternative Rock, Hard Rock, and Rock charts simultaneously. The album was spurred on by the single “Almost Easy.” |
Matt Shadows has dedicated the album to Avenged Sevenfold’s fans, and in a chat a while back, the vocalist talked about the band not letting them down. |
“It’s really important. I think you’re dealing with a major label, you’re dealing with all these things now that are like, where there’s super high highs and super low lows when you’re dealing with things like that. Because there’s a bunch of people that quite frankly don’t give a f–k about you. That’s what it comes down to. It doesn’t matter how big your band is or what’s going on, it’s all about money, you know. When you’re dealing with that kind of stuff – because for us it’s our career to them it’s business. I think when you’re dealing with that kind of stuff you’ve got to have really good chemistry with the band because everyone’s got emotional feelings about everything and someone can say, ‘Screw it. I don’t need ’em.’ but luckily we’ve known each other our whole life, so that would never happen to our band.
